Counter Channels

Show live server stats right in your channel list, like member count, online members, boosts, or how many people have a role. The bot keeps the channel names up to date automatically.

Counter channels put a live statistic into your channel list. Each counter is a locked voice channel whose name shows the number, for example 👥 Members: 1.234 or 🟢 Online: 463. Nobody can join them; they are there purely to display the stat. The bot refreshes the names for you on a schedule.

Discord limits how often a channel can be renamed (about twice per 10 minutes per channel). Because of that, counters update roughly **every 10 minutes**, not in real time. That is a Discord rule, not a bug.

Creating a counter

Open Counter Channels in the dashboard, turn the module on, and hit New counter.

  1. What to count - pick a metric (see the list below).
  2. Display name - the text shown in the channel list. The buttons add the value and, optionally, a goal into the name.
  3. Goal (optional) - set a target to show progress, like 1.234 / 2.000.

When you save, the bot creates the locked voice channel already named with the current value. From then on it keeps it updated automatically.

What you can count

  • Members - all members, just people (no bots), just bots, or online members.
  • Server - boosts, boost level, number of roles, channels (all, text, or voice), and categories.
  • By role - how many members have a specific role, for example “Verified: 850”.

Goals

Add a goal to turn a counter into a progress tracker. With a goal of 2000 and a name that uses both the count and target buttons, the channel shows 👥 Members: 1.234 / 2.000. Great for growth milestones.

Good to know

  • Counter channels are locked so members can see them but not join them.
  • Deleting a counter in the dashboard also removes its channel from your server.
  • If you delete the channel in Discord directly, the bot drops the counter on its next pass.
